- Simplifying the Will writing process and providing insights and solutions to assist our clients in disposing of their estate in a manner they want;
- Crafting a Will of the highest quality and professional standards to meet our clients’ exact needs and desires instead of fitting clients into a pre-determined template;
- Crafting a Will that is both clear and concise to ensure a lasting legacy for the benefit of our client’s beneficiaries and loved ones;
- Maintaining a transparent and affordable pricing structure for our services;
- Explaining the purpose of a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) and how it can benefit our clients;
- Arranging for the execution of the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) for our clients;
- Arranging for the execution of the Advance Medical Directive (AMD) for our clients;
- Advising on corporate matters such as Business Succession Planning and preparing the relevant documentation to ensure the business is taken care of in the event of death; and
- Providing relevant Wealth and Estate Planning solutions to ensure that our clients and their loved ones are protected and provided for from cradle to grave, in sickness or in health.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Junior Estate Analyst position requires both analytical and advisory skills. The ideal candidate should be good with financial and legal concepts, possess a keen business acumen and have excellent communication and relationship building skills. He or she should be comfortable speaking to business owners, C-suite officeholders and other affluent and accomplished individuals.
The program commences in September 2016. Participants will need to undergo certification and attend intensive training conducted by our in-house lawyers, medical specialists and estate analysts. After the training and certification phase, participants will need to be prepared to engage in hands-on activities: engaging with HNWIs and corporate decision makers, scrutinising financial portfolios and statements and delivering their findings in easy-to-understand reports and presentations. They will also be trained in solution creation and portfolio restructuring and enhancement.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Legal mechanisms such as Wills, Trusts, the Lasting Power of Attorney and the Advanced Medical Directive used in creating Estate Distribution and Management systems
- Financial knowledge regarding net worth and balance sheet statements, creation of asset lists, corporate finance, business succession and personal legacy planning
- Interpersonal communication and business presentation skills
- Customer relationship and trust building
- Networking with affiliated professionals such as lawyers, medical specialists, accountants, corporate and private bankers and loans and credit brokers
JOB SCOPE AND DUTIES
- Sit in at client meetings with the Bequest legal-estate planning team to learn basic business communication skills
- Obtain clients’ asset lists to produce estate analysis reports and net worth statements
- Canvass for estate planning seminars with MNCs and government agencies
- Network with SME owners to coordinate business succession planning workshops
- Deal with incoming client enquiries through email and other enquiry channels
- Participate in “live” customer acquisition activities
- Perform customer relationship management (CRM) duties for Bequest clients
- Prepare financial reviews and reports for upcoming client review sessions
- Attend proprietary workshops by internal trainers from the legal and finance sectors to learn about various aspects of contract and business law, corporate finance, personal financial management, estate and trust law and structures and corporate insolvency
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Requirements
- Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- For males: Must have completed NSF liability
- Must have passed GCE ‘A’ levels in at least three ‘H2’ and two ‘H1’ subjects or been awarded a diploma by a polytechnic in Singapore or hold an International Baccalaureate Diploma qualification
- Must have no prior or pending convictions in Singapore or in any other jurisdiction for any criminal offences
- No adverse credit history and cannot be an undischarged bankrupt
