Job Description
In the real world both good and bad news tend to take place in a company. While good news is extremely easy to announce, what about bad news? Public relations is more than just conveying information, its about packaging information and conveying it in a tactful manner, such that the information still stays true to itself.
Public relations needs someone who is full of energy, creative and up to take a challenge. If you think you have a knack for public relations, this internship is the opportunity for you. Learn the full suite of communication strategies and tools that PR professionals use to manage and protect reputations across different sectors and industries. At the same time, this internship will give you a deeper insight into the world of PR, with a particular focus on corporate communications, financial communications and public affairs.
Your Task
Work with a team of consultants to provide strategic communications counselling
Demonstrate competence in using internal and external research capabilities and in preparing in-depth analyses of news and issues relating to clients’ industries
Support in developing communications proposals and programmes
Draft sound, credible documents such as client memos, news releases, case histories, corporate backgrounders, op-ed pieces, brochures and other collaterals
Stay abreast of the latest trends in clients’ industries
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Arts and Social Science or Communications is preferred
Possess good communications and interpersonal skills
Possess strong business acumen and written skills
Able to work well in teams and independently
