Job Description
Overview:
The objective of the Corporate Communications Intern program is to provide students or fresh graduate with the opportunity to expand upon their academic foundation - specifically their technical skills, their knowledge of the industry and their familiarity with a corporate environment. This program will introduce the students to Barry Callebaut, as well as the Corporate Communications group. This includes Internal Communications, Media Relations, Social Media, Events, Branding and more.
Responsibilities:
Working with Corporate Communications Director for Asia Pacific and other team members to:
• Support the day-to-day planning, coordination and implementation of integrated communications campaigns, public relations and strategic communications programs;
• Draft and produce new content for distribution through several information channels and across all platforms;
• Assist with current key events (including media trip to Malaysia and opening of new training center in Tokyo);
• Collaborate with the full corporate communications team on other projects as assigned.
In conjunction with their job responsibilities, interns will participate in training sessions, informational meetings, networking events and community service opportunities.
Intern will follow the normal office working hours of the organization on a five-day.
Requirements:
• A background in PR, journalism, or mass communications (diploma or degree)
• Excellent writing and grammar skills with a strong attention to detail, and appreciation for clever one-liners;
• Familiarity with social networking sites.
• Photography skills appreciated.
• Creative and flexible; Able to add strategic input throughout the course of a project.
• Preferable 4-month commitment (May – August).
