Public Relations (PR) Intern

========Job scope==============

The intern will work with the PR Consultant and will be highly involved in the following aspects of the business: 

• Draft basic public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, client meeting summaries, status reports and other materials as directed
• Monitor media and media clippings* for all local and related overseas fashion, lifestyle and business publications

• Track online coverage and create strategies for online media monitoring

• Carry out special and media event planning activities and arrangements as outlined by the PR Consultant
• Attend and participate in discussions, media training sessions, presentations, traffic meetings and brainstorming sessions when needed
• Assist with the development and updating of fashion, lifestyle and business media lists and other databases, including client, marketing, prospect and administrative databases. The intern will provide data output in the form of letters, fax lists, data lists and other reports as requested by account staff

• Create relevant fashion, lifestyle and business media database and lists for individual PR clients. Assist with admin duties including fax processing, sorting, collating, stuffing envelopes, mailings and other administrative functions as assigned
• Assist with the management of newspaper and periodical inventories for easy access
• Support the firm’s effort by drafting new client releases and performing research activities

• Assist with other client, business development and management projects as needed.

Note: *heavy weightage (bulk of time) in media clippings.

·         Adept in MS Office and PowerPoint presentations
