Job Description
ATE is Singapore’s premier integrated media, communications and events group. Ate offers premium consultancy services across all areas of lifestyle, ranging from hospitality and travel, to food & beverage and luxury.

Publications Intern

========Job scope==============

The intern will work with the Content Development Consultant and will be highly involved in the following aspects of the business:

• Fact-checking for all projects :-

o For Miele Guide: In multiple phases

 Matching (and updating info) against past MG database

 Calling up restaurants for necessary details

 Sending factsheet to final list of restaurants and to call up if no response via email

 Final round of fact-checking for the final list of restaurants (normally 450 – 500 restaurants in total)

• For Miele Guide: Tabulation of results after voting

• Content development for internal and external clients

• In-house copywriting for projects and assist in proofreading

• Due Diligence for Distribution (spot checks on bookstores to see if they carry our books as this is out of our distributor's control)

• Contacting international independent retailers for the possibility of carrying our titles / build our database

The intern will acquire the following during the course of the internship:

• Experience in working with an integrated communications company

• An insight on how the publishing industry works

• Effective research/writing skills

• Effective communication skills when dealing with vendors/clients/customers

• The opportunity to create and pitch his/her own ideas for review for potential projects

We are looking for students with a drive to make things work, especially individuals with the following qualities:

• Highly communicative and pleasant personality

• Good writing skills would be advantageous

• Adept in MS Office and PowerPoint presentations

• Self-motivated with initiative and enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment

• Eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment
