Asian Surface Technologies (AST) repairs and overhauls fan blades for JT9D and PW4000 series engines, as well as provides plasma coating services for aerospace and industrial engineering products in the Asia-Pacific region. AST uses cutting-edge technology, such as Praxair's proprietary D-gun processes for its coating services and holds approvals from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, the Federal Aviation Administration in the US and the European Aviation Safety Agency in Europe. We will like to take on an Engineering Intern from 15 Dec 08 to 30 Apr 09 for the following job scope: * Receive and perform the general review of customers' specifications status * Issue customers' specifications and internal documents to the Operations * Control and manage all customer work document * Maintain, control and update quality document and company exposition manual * Perform mounting of the cubicle qualification sample produce on a daily basis. As well as polishing the sample and evaluating the microstructure of the coating sample under microscope (includes hardness testing) * Compile and upkeep Quality/Technical Records after working documents are closed by operations * Liaise with external warehouse for storage and retrieval of Quality/Technical records Independent and meticulous students from the field of Engineering or Quality Assurance may apply.
