SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

Asian Detours is a leading Events, Travel and Adventure Specialist in Southeast Asia. We are an advocate of delivering unique and meaningful experiences through travel and adventure.

Are you a social networking whiz? A news junkie?

The perfect fit for this position is resourceful, strategic, and someone able to use his or her solid social media savvy to maximize the impact of Asian Detours' travel and adventure products and community initiatives.

This internship emphasizes learning the tools necessary to become a communications specialist in the rapidly evolving media and social world. Social Media & Communications Interns gain experience in writing, research, multimedia outreach, and a depth of knowledge about the operations of a niche events, adventure and travel company.

This internship is minimum of six months long and maximum of 12 months long.

Duties:

-Using social media to promote Asian Detours Products and Initiatives

-Drafting outreach materials

-Researching strategic possibilities for targeting new audiences

-Reaching out to nonprofits, politicians, and other stakeholders to get the word out about Asian Detours' stories

-Maintaining databases

Desired Skill Set:

-Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal social skills

-Savvy and experience with social networking tools

-Grace under pressure, courage and humor, creativity and flexibility

-Excellent self-starter with the ability to work effectively alone or in a team environment

-will be preferred if applicant knows how to use Apple computer
