Asia Pacific Internet Group (Rocket Internet, APAC Region) – Business Development Intern (Sales Focused: Beauty Industry)

This position is an exciting and extraordinary opportunity to be at the root of a fast growing and constantly developing company. You will gain insight and first hand experience into an internet start-up, learn day-to-day management and build functional expertise. You will be working in our Singapore office based in Tanjong Pagar.

You should be a highly motivated individual who is interested in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and sales/business development, and you will be able to quickly assume a great deal of responsibility. In this role, you will gain deep insight into how a start-up operates, and will have the opportunity to work alongside an international team with a strong track record.

Being a start-up, you will literally do everything - experiencing all parts of the business and getting a real "feel" for how everything fits together to produce a successful business. You will rotate across departments to identify improvement areas across key functions like recruitment, sales and quality controls. Additionally, you have to identify areas for improvement in internal processes and design new processes. It will provide you with immense opportunities for initiative, creation and leadership. High performing interns may have the opportunity to return for full-time employment.

Who we’re looking for

• Ideally you have already successfully obtained a Bachelor''s or Master''s degree from university, with outstanding communication skills and fluency in English
• You will be sales driven, motivated by targets and KPIs and highly resilient! You will not afraid to pick up the phone and do a bit of cold calling, nor will you be defeated by anyone!
• Highly motivated, with an absolute hands-on mentality, exceptional analytic skills and strong communication skills
• You will also possess independence, ambition and professionalism
• A strong interest in e-commerce (prior experience or an interest in the beauty industry or start-ups is highly preferable)
• You have a clear interest in people and are motivated to work in a start-up environment, and you are flexible and agile
