Ang Ku Kueh Girl Pte Ltd is a design startup that features in-house characters under the label “Ang Ku Kueh Girl® and Friends”.
Our characters are designed to showcase a part of our local culture and heritage in a light-hearted manner. We draw inspiration from local snacks, everyday life and historical events. Features of kuehs and interesting quirks of Singapore are subtly woven into our character designs.
We create and produce our own line of merchandise based on these characters. These products are functional and created with a whimsical touch to remind us about the joy and happiness of everyday life on our little island.
We also work with corporate and institutional clients on production of licensed products, corporate gifts and other marketing collaterals.
Our main character, Ang Ku Kueh Girl® (红龟粿女孩) is inspired by a local pastry, ang ku kueh which is red and shaped like a tortoise shell. This kueh symbolises blessings for good fortune and longevity. Ang Ku Kueh Girl® and her friends wish everyone joy and happiness.

Job Description
As part of the team, you will be required to:
- assist in character illustrations for products and other collaterals
- assist in research for concept details
- assist in product design and drawings
Requirements
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate skills in cute character designs
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Able to commit at least 3 days/week, from 930am to 6pm
We welcome to you a dynamic and fast moving team with a wide variety of projects.
