Collectively with all our car rental partners, we have built Singapore’s largest car rental web portal (Drive.SG) that makes it easy for anyone to rent a car online at anytime and anywhere (read: not just in Singapore, it’s worldwide!).We are growing and we need you to head our business development operations. Sounds like a lot of responsibility? It is. But if you are to apply what you have learnt, some brainstorming with us, trust your intuition, you get to see fulfilling real world results from your successful (and failed) business development initiatives. No other internships will give you a chance to make or break the founder’s livelihood in only 3 months (okay, some exaggeration there but I hope you get the do-some-cool-stuff-in-real-life-and-learn-some-life-lesson reference). I assure you that you will come out of this internship feeling like you have conquered the highest peaks and navigated the most treacherous seas.
On a serious note, as an intern in our start-up, you will have a lot of freedom to decide on how to best do your job. We are highly tolerant of ‘boo-boos’ (but not repeat boo-boos!) and would encourage you to take some calculated risk to advance the interest of the company. - Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Understand how Drive.SG works
2. Take a risk and create a bold business development plan
3. Creatively conceive various business proposals that meets the goals of Drive.SG
4. Masterfully execute said proposals, measure and fine-tune them for greater effectiveness
5. Marvel at your success and your tremendous contribution to Drive.SG
Requirements:
1. The suitable candidate must have some serious interest in Startups and Business Development.
2. Must possess excellent spoken English
3. Ability to create business proposals and refine them is a strong plus
4. An understanding of business development is a strong plus
5. Some knowledge of computing will be a plus
6. Some knowledge on cars such like brands, model and types is a plus
7. Position open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents only.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (edit: hilarious requirement)
9. Above all – the tenacity to learn, forget, forgo, relearn and apply.
