Job Description
Internship Property and Casualty
Job Purpose/Role
To assist the Regional Office with day-to-day work and on-going project work.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the yearly Strategic & Planning Dialogue process (financial, operational & strategic planning ):
TAKEAWAYS: how strategy is linked to the financial and operational planning; how to do a strategic plan and derive the respective financial plan; how to break down the strategy in concrete operational action plans.
• Monthly / quarterly results reporting / controlling / analysis:
TAKEAWAYS: how to read the P&L and the balance sheet of an insurance company; how to analyse / detect trends / warning signs from a P&L, Balance sheet ; tools for analysis.
• Supporting the implementation of the regional motor and non-motor framework:
TAKEAWAYS: how to profitable manage a portfolio (line of business specific).
• Product Team room update / rejuvenation:
TAKEAWAYS: what are the Property & Casualty products (which insurance products do exist, what do they cover, etc.)
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
• Should have financial background/experience
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Chinese language skills will be an added advantage
• Duration: Minimum 3 Months
• Start: March/April 2014 (Part-time possible)
