The Academy of Certified Counsellors, established in 2003, seeks to raise the ethical standards and professionalism of counsellors through strategic training and educational programmes.

We organise training workshops by established trainers in counselling, psychotherapy and psychology to cater to the needs of counsellors, psychologists and other helping professionals.

Through experiences in and out of the classroom, students learn the skills of intellectual inquiry, prepare for challenging professions, network cum strengthen relationships with the human services communities and contribute productively to the society. In addition we organise seminars on counselling and psychology for the public.

ACC is dedicated to provide high quality programmes that meet the evolving needs of our students, local and regional community. We also recognise diversity in our society and embrace a cross-cultural approach in support of growth, dignity, potential and uniqueness of each individual.

Various categories of memberships to the Academy will be available to persons having the relevant qualifications and experience. The Academy will be having a newsletter on counselling for its members.

Job Description

Marketing executives contribute to and develop integrated marketing campaigns. Tasks can involve:

  • liaising and networking with a range of clients including customers, colleagues, students, suppliers and partner organisations;
  • communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships with clients & students.
  • Assisting the department with the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters.
  • writing and proofreading copy;
  • arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials;
  • maintaining and updating customer databases;
  • conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups;
  • contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies;
  • managing budgets;
  • assisting with marketing campaigns, preview sessions.
