We are seeking for a highly passionate Application Developer/ Architect to develop 42Race’s own web/mobile applications. You will be responsible for developing the iOS/ Android/ frontend/ backend of the application to deliver a consistent and cross-platform experience to users. The successful candidate will be diligent, self-motivated and possess high-level programming and related technical skills.
This position is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
1. Establishing a detailed program specification through discussion with product manager and business users;
2. Clarifying the actions which the application is intended to perform;
3. Design and build the technical solutions and integrates it with any external data sources.
4. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
5. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
6. Implementing tools and services with Ruby on Rails back-end technologies.
7. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements
1. Proven working experience in applications development
2. A deep familiarity with coding languages.
3. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
4. Communication skills - including the ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Passion for travel or marathon is a big plus
7. For interns, you are able to commit to a 6-month internship, with potential of becoming a full-time role
