Responsibilities
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
Design and develop UI/UX implementations
Design robust, scalable and secure features
Produce detailed specifications
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Follow best practices (continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards)
Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design
Interact with account management personnel for project specifics
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle - architecture, design and development, user experience development, documentation, unit testing, delivery and maintenance
Skills And Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Proven working experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails
Proven working experience in software development
Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS & JQuery
Good knowledge of relational databases
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Excellent sense of graphic and web design (e.g. user experience, user interface)
Exposure to the current online design trends for businesses
Proficient in image authoring tools like Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator
Creative and positive work attitude to produce quality work under minimal supervision
