Job Description
Zalora is the leading internet startup which is rapidly expanding in Southeast Asia. We are currently in 8 countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Hongkong). ZALORA.sg (www.zalora.sg) is one of the fastest growing e-commerce fashion retailer in Singapore! The company is a combination of a cool start-up environment where everyone bounces ideas of each other and a huge multinational corporation that has more than 1000 employees. We are looking for passionate people to join us and change the e-commerce landscape in Southeast Asia.
We are seeking for a motivated intern to fill an exciting new position in Category Management and to be involved in other projects related to the Regional Onsite Team, responsible for driving Zalora’s growth across Southeast Asian markets. The position will be based in Singapore, however the intern will work on the regional level (covering 8 markets).
This position is perfect for young and dynamic interns interested in the world of e-commerce, and even more precisely, the world of fashion e-commerce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Proactively assist the Regional Category and Onsite Manager in generating reports
2. Work closely with the local Category Managers and provide support by answering their enquiries and proposing actions that add value to them
3. Be fully familiar with the past, present and future campaigns in all of our markets
4. Contribute ideas on improving the reports, processes, and exploring new areas all in order to improve the performance and efficiency of Category management and more broadly, Regional Onsite Team
5. Willingly take on other projects beyond the fixed tasks
Desired Skills and Experience
• Fluent in English (written and oral )
• Currently enrolled in an academic program (preferably in year of completion), both undergrad and grad students are welcome to apply
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and preferably familiar with Power Pivot, macros/VBA.
• Hands-on experience with online shopping, auction, or group buying would be an advantage and desire to learn about e-commerce and fashion
• Good analytical skills and logical thinking; sensitive to numbers and able to derive critical information
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; independent with can-do myself attitude
• A team player with good interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of database structures
• High ambition to improve and develop your skills
• You take joy in solving analytical conundrums
• Ability to extract information from data and translate them into action
• You are open, flexible, and motivated to perform on a high level
• Very good communication skills
