Job Description
We are looking for a Technology Manager to join the management team of Wall of Sport. This person needs to be an IT guru with the desire to become one the leading players in the high tech start-up scene. Interest in sports would be a bonus. Expected skills and experience for the role are:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience with HW & SW technologies related to the web and mobile applications development space. Required areas of: web hosting strategies (dedicated vs cloud), application & database development (Java, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, jQuery, MySQL, Zend, Symphony, CakePHP) and OS using Linux.
- Ability to project manage resources, budget, time to deliver based on targets provided by management
- Experience in resource management to recruit IT specialists in expertise areas (as mentioned above)
- Experience in forward looking IT strategy, medium to long term technology road mapping
- Identify opportunities and risks for delivering the application, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.
- Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviour that may support or impede the success of the business.
- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of our application
- Select and manage company staff or outsourced vendors who develop and the application.
- Establish and supervise the application development process, setting short-term objectives and assessing progress.
- Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process.




- Establish an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers.
- Establish and monitor a web analytics regime that measures site traffic and application usage relative to business goals.
- Degree holder in IT systems/development
- Experience or burning interest in digital media, very active in social media
- Willing to gain invaluable start-up experiences
- Sports Fan (desirable)


Remuneration: An initial 2 month intern basis/part-time work for competitive salary for both parties to understand and find a suitable fit. After a successful internship an offer would be made including salary and employee options for a suitable position within the company based on experience and capability.
