Job Description
As a junior sales representative you will be responsible for securing and managing relationship with venue owners for Singapore Market. He/she will have experience in the events industry and has good knowledge of the hospitality or F&B. At times, this person would need to be comfortable running events and performing other adhoc task set by the senior manager. Of equal importance, he / she will also be tasked with sourcing for new leads to add to the company’s portfolio.
Essential Job Functions:
Managing and securing clients
Assist in building sales strategy with Senior Manager, Marketing and Content team
Meet sales target and beyond with a desire to exceed expectations
Be proactive in the marketing, build and maintain relationships with existing clients while bringing in new business
Excellent skills in writing proposals and tenacious follow up
Assist Senior Manager & Content to ensure the delivery of attendees to the event
Work closely with the Asia regional offices to pro-actively develop cross-selling opportunities
Conduct competitive intelligence
Daily interaction with content and marketing teams on project requirements is required with our local and regional offices.
Travel as required
Qualifications/Skills:
University degree or equivalent work experience desirable
1 years sales experience preferably dealing with hospitality or F&B players
Proven track record of exceeding targets
Ability to anticipate market trends and be proactive in the market
Excellent time management skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects and demands simultaneously
Ability to deal with deadline pressure and make quick decisions
Attention to detail is a must
Strong networking and communication skills with fluency in key languages, preferably with experience in new media
Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
Ability to travel 20% both regionally and international.
