Job Description
This is a six-month internship, starting in March 2011, with Economist Corporate Network.
The successful candidate will help to produce editorial content for Corporate Network in Asia. This includes managing the Corporate Network website. The intern will also help edit and write a range of reports interpreting economic and political developments within a given product brief across Asia.
The intern will:
- work with the Corporate Network directors in Asia to create and deliver high quality programmes
- manage the Corporate Network website, including publishing, editorial direction, and development, in consultation with the directors
- provide content research for the directors, and create regular written materials to deadline, and of the quality and style demanded by the Economist Intelligence Unit
- produce Asia Country Briefing every month, and Asia Alert every fortnight
The ideal candidate:
- Second-year or above full-time university student
- Knowledge of Asian politics, economics and business
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent editorial and analytical judgment
- Basic web publishing skills and ability to use PowerPoint and Excel
- Highly motivated, dedicated to quality and a good team player
- Inspires confidence among colleagues and has the ability to work with people across the company
Salary: US$1,000 per month
