DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will work for Starwood AP Digital Marketing team based in the Singapore’s office. Marketing initiatives managed by this role include:
- Digital marketing campaigns for Asia Pacific – mobile apps, branded sites, search, social media, display, email, messaging apps etc.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Video curator for Asia Pacific hotels
- New Hotels digital marketing launches
- Digital performance reporting
- Loyalty and Partnerships
The intern will focus on projects and initiatives, including the following:
40% - Digital Marketing and Website Content Management / Site Maintenance
- Support the needs of regional teams and agencies to implement paid digital and content marketing tactics for hotels in Asia Pacific
- Coordinate efforts in property website localization and expansion
- Assist in building landing pages for divisional campaigns, perform website optimizations for SEO
- Curate videos for all Asia Pacific property webpages
- Update strategies on key digital platforms and share best practices to deliver increased presence and incremental revenue to hotels
40% - Social Media
- Leverage on social media tools to ensure hotels have a strong presence on social networks and maximize opportunities in new platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WeChat, Line, Tripadvisor, Youtube, etc).
- Monitor buzz for Starwood brands and set up policies for all properties and brands under the Starwood umbrella.
- Generate on-brand content and report on social media performance
- Social media contests and management
20% - Tracking, Analysis and Planning
- Share monthly insights on production, trends, booking and stay patterns as well as channel analysis
REQUIREMENTS
You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry and/ or the marketing sector with the following attributes:
- Able to commit for a 6-month full time internship from May/ June to end 2016

- Keen understanding of the digital environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (namely Excel and Powerpoint, Photoshop would be an added advantage)
