Job Description

Summary:

Measurement & simulation of USB type-C PD TX/RX/configuration in 2016 Q1/Q2.

USB Type-C is an exciting new addition to the connectivity standard. As an intern, you would be able to see the chip in action and go through some of the challenges designers go through during the validation process and to bring up the chip to a level that can be given to customers for sampling.


Intern Project Focus:

1.    Measure the USB type-C performance.

2.    Check if it meets the USB type-C spec.

3.    Debug it by duplicating the errors in simulation.

4.    Propose for area/power improvement.

 

Responsibilities:

1.    Develop the measurement setup.

2.    Develop the simulation test bench for debugging.

3.    Provide the solutions for bugs & area/power improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Strong basic knowledge in :

    • Analog design, serial link design

  • General knowledge of:

    • USB standard

  • Demonstrated ability to:  

    • Work under defined timeline and deliver quality results

Experience and Education:

  • Degree, Major: Electrical and Electronics Engineering

  • Specialized training in: Integrated Circuit design (Analog design) preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Good team player

·         Good logical and debugging skill

·         Creative and thoughtful

·         Able to come up with innovative yet easy to implement ideas
