Job Description
As a Creative Engineer, you ensure that ShopBack’s website is fast and clean. You collaborate closely with the core teams to create sleek and accessible web pages that present important information in the most efficient manner. You optimise our sites for both desktop and mobile devices to capitalise on increasing regional smartphone penetration. The scope of your work will emphasise on accessibility, compatibility and efficiency of our products.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to develop interactive and efficient web pages that can scale well under high traffic
  • Collaborate and translate feedback from Marketing, Tech and Customer Experience teams into tangibles for the web site
  • Develop robust high value and high traffic web production applications
  • Work independently on web site enhancements that will increase our value proposition
Qualifications:
  • Strong in HTML5, CSS3, Less and JavaScript
  • 2 years of developing clean, valid and responsive websites and applications
  • Experience with web and mobile development, including responsive design, experience with content management systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries (e.g. jQuery) and Canvas/CSS animation
  • Experience with vector and motion graphics, inluding SVG, HTML5 canvas and animations via JavaScript and CSS
  • Experience with a scripting language such as PHP, Ruby or Python.
