Job Description
Ocean Butterflies International Pte Ltd is an influential and comprehensive independent music powerhouse in Asia. Established in Singapore in 1986, we now operate in 5 regions: Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Our company has produced many renowned artists including JJ Lin, BY2 and A-do.
The Singapore branch of Ocean Butterflies is dedicated to bringing music to the masses in Singapore through various facets such as music courses at Music Forest, organizing and participating in exciting music and entertainment events as well as creating platforms for musicians to showcase their music.
With our recent relocation to *SCAPE, we wish to reach out more to the youth community in Singapore. Hence we have decided to start up a youth department within our company that will be responsible for all matters youth related. We want to create, manage and conduct projects for youths, by youths.
======= Job Scope =======
-Responsible for all public relations and marketing related activities
-Establish good relationships with musically active youths and other music, media and entertainment related organizations/parties
-Represent the youth department in meetings and discussions with external parties
-Responsible for extending invitations to organizations, parties and other personnel to company events
-Plan marketing strategies along with rest of the department for events and projects
-Work together with other members to come up with public relations and marketing materials
-Come up with fresh ideas for projects
-Assist in execution of projects and events, to lead and manage people and projects if necessary
======= Job requirements =======
-Is well-connected and or has extensive understanding of the local music scene
-Possesses good market sense and basic business and marketing knowledge and is able to manage marketing -Must be bilingual (English and Chinese); proficiency in other languages is a plus
-Capable of writing proposals and marketing plans of professional standards
-Proficient in Microsoft Word and Power Point
-Eloquent; good at presenting, communicating and public speaking
-Extrovert; unafraid to accost people; comfortable with socializing at events
-Capable of working under pressure
-Possess good self-discipline and time management skills; is self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
-Innovative and resourceful when it comes to problem-solving and brainstorming
-Possess good work ethic; be productive and efficient with work and go the extra mile for projects
