NYC was set up by the Singapore Government on 1 November 1989 as the national co-ordinating body for youth affairs in Singapore and the focal point of international youth affairs.
On 1 January 2015, NYC began its operations as an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) and housed two key institutions: Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and Youth Corps Singapore. Together, the agency will drive youth development and broaden outreach to young Singaporeans and youth sector organisations.

Job Description
The Journey Crafters team is responsible for developing and engaging Youth Corps aspirants and members. This includes the selection and recruitment of aspirants, and the engagement of aspirants and members through various activities to enhance their Youth Corps journey. The JC team is also in charge of the marketing and branding of Youth Corps.
Role of Intern: 
• Conceptualise and implement events such as social gatherings and community service day
• Conceptualise and execute team bonding activities and assist with logistics during trainings
• Coordinate and conduct recruitment talks in schools and youth organisations
• Assist with selection of potential aspirants
• Design Youth Corps Newsletter, EDMs and Collaterals 
• Photography and/or videography for Youth Corps events
