Information Systems Software Engineering (Web) Intern
Position Summary:
Are you an aspiring web developer? Do you love blockbuster Hollywood movies or animated feature films? This is your chance to use your skills and contribute to exciting projects with Lucasfilm Singapore! The IS Software Engineering Intern will contribute to designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging web applications. The candidate must be a self starter, and willing to troubleshoot problems and understand the underlying architecture.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Architecting and implementing web applications
• Integrating applications
• Website performance and bandwidth optimization
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Graduated or currently studying Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other technical degree with experience and knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS as well as web deployment.
• Good knowledge of WEB environments required.
• Good knowledge of JQuery, AJAX, Apache and Oracle SQL skill required.
• Experience using an ORM layer a plus.
• Experience with Python, Solr, MySQL and PLSQL a plus.
• Experience with pylons, django, or other python web framework a plus
• Experience in building globally distributed applications a plus
