Lazada Marketplace enables third-party merchants to list and sell their products through our website (similar to ebay or tmall).  We are a fast-growing business unit that is rapidly expanding, signing up hundreds of new merchants and bringing thousands of new products to our site.

We are currently looking for a candidate who will be responsible for the management of the marketplace sales team.

Job Description
  • Manages and drives sales team to build a comprehensive SKU selection and assortment by closing deals with third party sellers

  • Identifies and develops a valuable prospect list based on Lazada’s standard product offerings

  • Is able to originate business with relevant sellers in first person

  • Defines and develops sales team’s KPIs

  • Builds internal and external metric reports for the new SKU development, category selection, employees performance evaluation

  • Liaises with buying teams to drive joint projects and share best practice

  • Manages employees incentives scheme

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful sales and relationship management

  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential

  • A track record of proven success in past positions (setting up sales teams etc)

  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required with Masters preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in competitive sales environments, e-commerce experience is a plus

  • MBA is a plus
