Responsibilities:
• Work closely with sales, customer management and the client directly to understand the scope of and requirements for each project.
• Advise clients on best practices and agree on project processes and timelines.
• Liaise with the company’s Business Development Manager in order to set up a quotation that will satisfy the needs of the client.
• Lead project planning process and “kick-off” meetings and ongoing project-related meetings, as needed.
• Work closely with clients’ Localisation Project manager or similar to solicit, receive and clarify project specifications.
• Liaise with clients to understand their goals and expectations, and anticipate/address client needs and concerns to prevent issues.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with the clients LPM or similar to discuss the performance of the projects.
• Communicate regularly with the client through email, phone calls and periodic meetings in order to get detailed feedback so as to timely and efficiently proceed with any necessary corrective actions/changes/improvements.
• Estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built-in contingencies.
• Develop effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for each project.
• Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project.
• Working with the Vendor Manager, ensure each of their projects are resourced effectively taking into account the best available resources and the costs of the resources.
• Select, instruct and manage internal and external resources in order to ensure the right resources are used and that they perform according to the project instructions, client expectations and the company's QA procedures.
• Work with the Vendor Manager to ensure utilization of the most cost effective resources to meet client expected quality standards.
• Monitor responsibilities in a given project (localisation plan, post mortems, resources, submissions, etc.)
• Implement and maintain project scheduling and resource allocation together with Language Lead (when applicable) and Localisation Manager.
• Continuously manage and adapt the work plan and resources required in consultation and agreement with the client.
• Make independent decisions on work methods to be used in the localisation groups, while following established standards and procedures of the department.
• Work with the company''''s stakeholders to determine workflow and best processes to follow in order to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Identify opportunities and spearhead initiatives to continuously improve service and process under industry specific requirements.
• Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
• Regularly monitor and assess the proficiency and quality of translators and other resources allocated to the projects. Report back to the HR Manager and escalate any issues to Localisation Manager.
• Provide leadership and mentoring in quality assurance processes, project planning, resource forecasting, and performance/personnel issues to all project staff.
• Manage internal/external costs, deal with additional/unexpected costs and take corrective action in order to ensure the profitability targets are met or exceeded.
• Ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the Business Unit.
• Ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards.
• Ensure project data in the company's information reports is accurate, updated and complete.
• Prepares essential data for job invoicing.
• Conduct project presentations and compile daily, weekly and monthly and ad hoc reports as appropriate.
• Escalate any material issues that arise on a project to the Localisation Manager and agree how to manage and communicate these with the client.
• Participate in regular internal meetings.
• Provide Business Development with input on new opportunities for developing business. Support BD in client presentations, proposals and meetings.
• Take responsibility for personal learning and training needs and effectively apply business specific technology and methodologies.

Qualifications

Skills required:
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Must be motivated and a team player.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients).
• The ability to write accurate, unambiguous and concise documentation in the relevant language.
• Excellent knowledge of PC and MS Office products is essential.
• Previous experience of localisation as a QA Tester in a software testing environment desirable.
• Experience in games testing on Xbox 360, PlayStation3, etc. is a plus
• Experience testing mobile phone (Android/iOS) native games/applications
• Basic understanding of the development cycle and constraints.
• Experience of working with some of the following: DevTrack, JIRA, TestTrack Pro
• An innovative tester who can help improve our QA process
• Flexible towards responsibilities and working hours.
• Ability to cope under pressure and to work to tight deadlines.
• Great attention to detail, must be meticulous.
