Job Description

We have immediate openings for Public Relations Interns to join us. This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work with an experienced team of account management staff on high-profile business and consumer clients. Selected candidates will get to learn and be exposed to the full gamut of public relations functions including researching, media relations, writing press releases, and assisting with press events.

·         Conduct secondary research

·         Draft written materials intended to persuade and/or represent a client’s point of view (i.e. press release, research analysis, white paper, newsletter, etc.)

·         Develop traditional and online/digital media lists

·         Pitch media (develop pitch and contact media)

·         Participate in brainstorm sessions

·         Contribute to new business development processes

·         Contribute to development of strategic communications plans

·         Assist with event planning and support (could include logistics, on-site staffing, development of collateral, promotion, etc.)

·         Monitor and summarize (package and present) a variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.)


Job Requirements:
- Pursuing a Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism or any communications-related field.
- Possess good research, writing and organization skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to compile relevant information, provide strategic analysis, present and initiate ideas.
- Prior internship experience at a public relations agency or an organisation's corporate communications department would be advantageous.
