Project Synopsis: Data Centre is one of the fastest growing industries globally and it is also highly interconnect density area. This is because the primary function of a data centre is to house and operate IT equipment. It provides a direct access to a dynamic ecosystem for business partners, content companies and network and cloud service providers. Cross connecting in an Equinix IBX data center not only means that all the businesses you need to reach are under one roof, but ensures that your thru put will be faster and more reliable.
Project Objective: Objective of this project is to audit the process and data of the cross connect. To enhance the performance, flexibility and reliability of the connections and database
Project Description: In this project, student has to carry out physical audit of the cross connection within the Data Centre. Student also has to identify key issue with the connection in terms of tagging and accuracy of the records. Based on the data collected, student must identify the missing details and wrong tagging of the cross connections. Student has to observe the process and procedure carry out by the technician/Engineer and compare it again the company policy. Student will document the observation and present to the supervisor to improve efficiency of the team
Knowledge / Skill required: Computer and electronic engineering or Telecommunication engineering . Data Centre Operation. Analytical skills, Project Management, Business Analytic and effective communication skills.
