Ang Ku Kueh Girl is a design startup that features in-house characters under the label “Ang Ku Kueh Girl® and Friends”.
Our characters are designed to showcase a part of our local culture and heritage in a light-hearted manner. We draw inspiration from local snacks, everyday life and historical events. Features of kuehs and interesting quirks of Singapore are subtly woven into our character designs.
We create and produce our own line of merchandise and stories based on these characters.
As part of the team, you will be required to:
- assist in character and other illustrations for products, stories, and other collaterals and/or animation
- assist in research for the development of concept details
- assist in product design and drawings
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (a must) and Photoshop
- An advantage if you are proficient in Adobe Premier Pro/ Flash/ After Effects
- An advantage if you are proficient in the operations of WeChat and Weibo pages
- Enthusiastic and able to demonstrate skills in cute character designs
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Meticulous and careful
- Official working hours from 9am to 6pm
- We are a young set-up. Please apply only if you are up to the challenge of building up our brand together with the team. It will not be an easy and smooth route but we will be creating something meaningful based on local culture and heritage, and having fun along the way
